Description
In 1967, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting was developed under the idea of using television as a means of social reform, as an informal means of education, and as a way of preparing preschool children for formal education especially the disadvantaged children. In 1969, the first production of Sesame Street was broadcast which emphasized learning through modeling, not preaching.
