Description

This lesson briefly goes over the role of independent and dependent clauses in the structure of simple, compound, complex, and compound-complex sentences. It also touches on comma use in these structures, including how to fix the dreaded comma splice. It concludes with a very brief discussion on the rhetorical value of sentence structure, with reference to the Allyn and Bacon Guide to Writing 6th Concise Edition.
