Dogwood Bloom Reading Series
Though they only flower in the spring, the dogwood trees that surround the English department in Ellis Hall are beautiful year-round.

-
This fall, when poets Ashley Good and Amanda Funk read from their work on October 10, and when fiction writer Zach Kessler and essayist Joey Franklin read on November 14, the leaves and berries will be crimson.
-
In winter, large floral buds will hang from the silver branches as essayist Dave Grover and poet Kate Nuernberger read on January 23, and poet Steve Morrow, and fiction writers Jacob Hilton and Kit Huelskamp read on March 13.
-
The dogwoods will be in bloom as the series closes on April 24 with readings by poet Jennifer Schomburg Kanke and essayist Liz Stephens.
The Dogwood Bloom Reading Series takes place at 5:00pm in Ellis 214.
A wine and cheese reception follow the readings.
Dogwood Bloom is a student-run creative writing reading series that allows current second-year graduate students to showcase their work.
