The Chestnut reading series is a student-run reading series showcasing critical work by graduate students in the English department. The reading series is a venue through which we can celebrate the critical work graduate students are doing, while giving readers valuable experience in presenting and discussing their work with other members of the academic community.
The Winter Series

The Winter Quarter of our Chestnut Reading Series will be held Friday, March 6th at 5:30pm in Ellis Hall 205.
The featured speakers are:
Marlene De La Cruz-Guzman, who will present "The Literary Weaving of Mghribiyya Consciousness: Laila Lalami's Retelling of Jenara's Moroccan Tale in Hope and Other Dangerous Pursuits
and Craig Meyer, who will present "Scholarship of the Personal: The 'I' in the Classroom."
