"Shakespeare on Screen"
1899 - 2009

Professor Peter Holland will present the opening keynote address. His speech

"Shakespeare Among His Contemporaries: Tragic Practice on the Early Modern Stage"

will be held on Thursday afternoon, October 22nd, at 5pm in Walters Hall.

Other keynote speakers include Professor Linda Charnes (Indiana University) and Professor Douglas Lanier (University of New Hampshire). Charnes' talk, "Whatever Happened to Baby Hamlet," will be on Friday the 23rd at 5pm, and Lanier's talk, "Post-Racial OTHELLO" will be held at 11am on Saturday the 24th.

The Ohio Valley Shakespeare Conference will feature 50 papers from faculty and students from colleges and universities in Ohio, West Virginia, New York, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Indiana, Utah, Idaho, South Carolina, Mississippi, Louisiana, Michigan, and Texas. Ohio University faculty delivering papers include Jill Ingram, Michael Drew, and Matthew Stallard.
