Michael Griffith

Michael Griffith's books are Spikes: A Novel (2001; paper 2002) and Bibliophilia: A Novella and Stories (2003; paper 2004), both from Arcade. His work has appeared in The Washington Post, Southwest Review, New England Review, Virginia Quarterly Review, Five Points, Southern Review, Oxford American, Golf World, and many other periodicals, and he is the recipient of fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts (2004), the Sewanee Writers' Conference (2001), the Louisiana Division of the Arts (2001), and others. A summa cum laude graduate of Princeton (1987), he is also editor of the Yellow Shoe Fiction series for Louisiana State University Press. He was the recipient in 2005 of the University of Cincinnati English Department's Boyce Award for Outstanding Teaching.
